I really want a literary tattoo. This is my inspiration. None of these are mine. I post all sources or I will say when I can't find one. If your tattoo is on here and you want it taken down, please let me know. I will be happy to do so. Also, if you want to submit your tattoo, I would love it!
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor

‘Thou mayest’! Why, that makes a man great, that gives him stature with the gods, for in his weakness and his filth and his murder of his brother he has still the great choice. He can choose his course and fight it through and win.”
Steinbeck’s East of Eden. Timshel in Hebrew
“Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost” ~ John Ronald Reuel written in Sindarin
From The Road by Cormac McCarthy
(I love this one, but unfortunately I could not find a source. If anyone could let me know, that would be great! I want to tell the owner how much I like it.)

Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
From Lord of the Flies by William Golding
This is my second tattoo, but my first HP one. Done at “Tendre Furie” in Brussels on the 23rd of december 2011. “The stories we love best do live in us forever so whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home” said JK Rowling. She always find the right words. I love this woman, I love Harry Potter and I fucking love my tattoo! :) (It needs some retouching but I had to show it.)
This is a version of a illustration of Holden Caulfield from “The Catcher in The Rye” with some elements of the book such as the cliff, the city from the cover and the ducks. Next week I’ll be finishing the shoulder and the right side of the chest with the red horse from the book cover ;)
This tattoo was made in Brazil by Tuninho Silva
I love this.
This is my first tattoo. The Catcher in the Rye has been my favorite book for years and it’s always helped me through tough times. I’m also studying to be an English teacher, so a literary tattoo is only fitting.
